Award winning Adelaide Hills artist Miranda Lloyd will be show casing her artworks for this years SALA festival at TeAro Estate Winery, Barossa Valley. She is known for her modern, heavy textured paintings and her love for nature. She will be theming her exhibition around the wine region such as wine glasses, vines, trees, fruits and animal paintings.
Her artworks will be on display for all of August and the public are welcome to her opening day on Sunday August 2nd (bookings essential through the winery) as there will also be a live band.
Miranda was approached by Kelly Rowett from TeAro Estate a couple years ago to exhibit at their winery and was delighted to jump on board for this years SALA.
Also just so happens her cousin Sally Fromm (formally Sally Lloyd) married into the TeAro Estate family (the Fromms) who are well known in the Barossa Region.
Miranda will also be donating $10 from every original art sale or framed print to the Little Laila Foundation to help her with cerebral palsy treatments.
Last year Miranda won a finalist award (one of three) at Brand South Australia’s Regional Business Awards 2014 for Outstanding Achievements and Significant Contributions Demonstrating Excellence in South Australia. Her business has also been nominated for the 2015 award as well. She is also a Brand Ambassador for SA.
These days Miranda sells most of her artworks to interstate buyers as this year she has had great success through an Australian online Art Gallery called Bluethumb which is operated from Melbourne. She also exhibits in many galleries and wineries throughout South Australia. For more information about the artist please visit www.mirandalloyd.com.au.
